Monica & Rick first got married at the Church of St. Monica (very appropriate choice for the bride Monica!) and then had a rockin’ bash at Cipriani 42nd Street to celebrate. The gorgeous Church at St. Monica is actually right around the corner from us. It was funny for us to walk there on the couple’s wedding day and pass by spots that we always go (for example, Sedutto where we get the yummy coconut ice cream.) As for Cipriani, well, these pictures speak for themselves – wow, what a place! When we first met with Monica & Rick, they said that they wanted to have a crazy fun party. Well, they got a great band, an ultra-creative florist & designer and a fantastic NYC wedding venue to host a celebration to remember!
The couple had arranged for double-decker buses to take their guests between the hotel where a lot of them were staying, the church and Cipriani 42nd Street. Great idea – their guests got to enjoy a little sightseeing as well!
Sitting on top of the bridge in Central Park was actually Monica’s idea. Impressive given that she had hurt one of her ankles and it was in a cast!
We think Rick was more nervous about the idea. The wedding party also wasn’t as daring.
Their escort cards were hung from a huge tree. Yes, the venue is so large you can fit a tree.
The hip happening band rocked the house.
