New York State of Mind

We photographed an event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan on Saturday night.  Look at these views from the Met’s roof garden – stunning!  We couldn’t resist capturing a panoramic photo of the Manhattan skyline.

The next day, we went on a little family excursion to the Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz.  And again, we found ourselves standing on a deck looking at another spectacular view.

Two views of this wonderful state that we live in.  Both taken from the decks of historic landmarks.  One looking south, the other north.  A city view and a country view.  Night and day.  Stunning scenes from 2 completely different worlds, yet only an hour and half drive from each other. What a great state we live in. And another bonus was that both decks had a bar so you could enjoy the views with a drink in hand.
