More 2007 Favorites

We were honored to photograph and videotape about 60 weddings last year.

To our 2007 brides and grooms - thank you so much for your trust in us !

There are so many photos that we love from 2007.  We shared one with you a few weeks ago and would like to share a few others with you now.  In no particular order, below are the photos that are on the top of our list of 2007 favorites.  Our full list actually has 100+ photos, but we didn’t want you to get bored (not to mention a finger cramp from scrolling down !)

We were really touched by Jessy’s tears when she said her vows to Ali.  So pure and so from the heart.  Think we teared ourselves a bit.

We love this photo.  The little head among the pews makes us laugh out loud every time !

We really like how Kayla & Zachary look so happy and excited in this photo.  And, love how the sparklers they used for their exit seem to add to the excitement.   Can almost imagine the sizzle in the air !

This was taken at Victoria & Matt’s wedding on the Staten Island boardwalk.  James grew up in Staten Island and he remembers how he used to hang out on this same boardwalk.  Hard to imagine James and his little friends on this boardwalk now, huh?   We love how the lights illuminate the scene and how beautiful and serene they make Victoria & Matt’s ceremony.

Love how James is looking at his lovely bride, Lynneth, with pure, unadulterated affection in this photo.  If only we all had someone to look at us like that !

Don’t Michele & Alex look so much in love in this picture?  Can’t ask for a more romantic backdrop than the sun setting behind them !  We actually like this photo so much that we made a large canvas wrap of it to hang up.

Love this photo of Hayley’s final preparations.  A beautiful bride putting on her last bits of jewelry in her everyday Hoboken apartment (black jacket and all !)  This photo actually won an award from our local chapter of the Professional Photographers of America organization.

Think Maureen and Joseph’s red car was such a great idea.  And, love the expressiveness of Maureen’s face.  Her excitement is almost palpable and we feel like we can share it with her every time we look at the picture.

Love how Stacey & Rob are surrounded by all the motion in this photo.  An ordinary day in Grand Central Station with everyone rushing off to catch their train and there stand Stacey & Rob, a sea of calm in all the confusion.

This is actually of our old neighbor, Jocelyn (or “Cutie Pie” as we affectionately call her).  Jocelyn & Rob got married at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and we really admire how Jocelyn’s choice of veil perfectly matches the stateliness of St. Patrick’s.  Of course, Cutie Pie has great taste !

We got completely drawn in by Katie’s eyes when we took photos of her last September.  More and more, we zoomed in and voila, we have this shot of her magnificent eyes !

2007 Favorite Photos

We’re still compiling our list of favorite photos from 2007 weddings, but wanted to share one from what we have so far.

This photo was taken at Christine and Anthony’s wedding in the Thousand Islands.  It actually won an award from our local chapter of the Professional Photographers America, a professional photographers organization.  Just in case you don’t know where the Thousand Islands are, they’re a beautiful group of islands on the border of Canada and New York State.

Christine and Anthony got married at the Boldt Castle in May.  The castle itself has a very sad and romantic history.  It was built in the early 1900’s by George Boldt, who owned NYC’s Waldorf Astoria.  He wanted to build it for his wife, Louise.  Unfortunately, Louise died suddenly in 1904 and George was so heart-broken that he abandoned the castle.  The castle was then left abandoned for years until one of the municipal authorities decided to restore it recently.

After that sad story, let’s talk about happier things, i.e., Christine and Anthony’s wedding !  Christine and Anthony love the Renaissance era and travel all over the world to participate in Renaissance fairs.  For their wedding (though you can’t see it from the picture), they both dressed up in Renaissance garb.   You can better see their traditional Renaissance Era-wedding clothing in the 2 pictures below.  Unfortunately, these 2 pictures didn’t make our list of favorites, but we like them a lot as well !

We really liked Christine and Anthony’s wedding.  For us, it was our first experience with Renaissance weddings, so we were really excited that they chose us to photograph their day.  And, we really admire the way they integrated their interests into their wedding and made it even more special.

Stay tuned…  More 2007 favorites to come…
