Recently, we photographed Hayden’s Bar Mitzvah at the Bridgewaters’ Museum Club in NYC. Hayden chose a great location for his celebration - loved Bridgewaters’ fantastic views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the South Street Seaport!
Hayden had a really cool party theme. Couches and other furniture were brought in to make the place look like a trendy night club. From what we’ve been told, this seems to be a popular thing to do for Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitvahs.
Our friend Ali Barone designed the event for Diana Gould, Ltd. This is the first time we’ve seen Ali’s talent at work and we were very impressed. Hayden loves to snowboard, so Ali decorated the room with a snowboarding theme. There was a life-sized cutout of Hayden riding a snowboard, fake snow and even a custom-built snowboard for guests to sign.

Hayden must be a great snowboarder – he didn’t even have to hold on to the chair during the Hora.

As you can see, Hayden is, as his dad puts it, popular with “the skirts.”

Hayden’s parents, Jodi and Larry, got a bit emotional during the slide show of him growing up. Understandable since their little boy is becoming a man.

Hayden’s family obviously adores him. Everyone wants to give him a kiss.

We find Bar/Bat Mitzvahs to be a very emotional celebration for the entire family. It’s always an honor when we are asked to document such important celebrations and help preserve these memories forever.
